Lesson One
Students will be introduced to three different art styles and artists. Students will gain knowledge of how to identify characteristics of different art genres, compile research, and present information in an organized manner. Students will self-determine goals. The students will be introduced to digital photography and web 2.0 tools that they may want to utilize during their project.
Lesson Three

This lesson focuses on the collaboration of artwork and technology. Students are guided through the design process as well as  research and ethical use. This is the final lesson of three in order for the students to reach their goal to produce and document their work.  The students have been shown Web 2.0 tools and this lesson will be instrumental in guiding the children in developing their presentation.

Lesson Two
As a connection to understanding the visual arts in relation plagiarism, students will be presented with examples of plagiarism and a current dispute within the art world. Plagiarism is an ongoing, ever-changing issue in art production, publications, and most recently, technology. The high profile case study the students will be presented with is a combination of art and technology.
The objective of this project is to demonstrate the possibilities in the collaboration of art and technology while teaching Inquiry and Information Fluency to 5th - 6th grade students.  Artists can use technology to document and present their influence, designing, and final piece of artwork.
In the interest of engaging students interest and regulating their own success, a choice is given to the students who are not comfortable creating a piece of artwork as their final project but rather focus on an artist of their choosing, still incorporating the importance of utilizing technology within the artworld.

A process of research, understanding, analyzing, creating and evaluating is presented throughout the lessons and instill an understanding of  project based learning for each student.
